Meet Randy Brown.
Randy Brown, the owner of the Gardener’s Choice, has been in business for more than 15 years. He has a degree in Landscape Architecture from Michigan State University and loves the outdoors. Randy has had a Green Thumb his whole life! As a kid, he worked outside cutting lawns and raking leaves for his neighbors. When he grew up, his love of the outdoors and horticulture lead him to find a job with a Landscape Architect in Belleville and to attend MSU to earn his degree.
Randy was asked a few questions about himself and his philosophies. Here’s what he had to say:
How do you think plants, flowers, and landscaping make the world a better place?
Landscaping provides the opportunity to change peoples’ environment. You can change the way people see, touch, smell, and feel. You can have a major impact on how people experience the world around them and help them create unique spaces to live.
Why do you think the Gardener’s Choice is the best place for people to come for landscaping and planting supplies?
We’re kind of like David in the story of David and Goliath. Our store is small, but there’s more here than meets the eye. We have excellent products, and our customer service is outstanding. We also have the expertise to help anyone with any landscaping question.
If you were on Who Wants to be a Millionaire and won the big money, what would you do with it?
I would give money to m y family and then donate the rest of the money to the school to build a new wing or gymnasium. The Brown family memorial gym! If you can’t be an athlete, be an athletic supporter! I would also like to build a new L.A. building at MSU. That way, I’d always get a good seat at all the sporting events!
